Boeing and Alaska Airlines have affirmed the transporter has requested 23 more 737-9 planes, expanding on its unique request and an arrangement a month ago to get new 737-9s through rent.

The new arrangement presents Alaska Airlines’ total 737 Max requests and choices to 120 planes, which will give the fifth-biggest United States transporter the scale, effectiveness, and adaptability to grow as air travel recuperates.

“We are amazingly pleased to report this extraordinary concurrence with Boeing,” said Brad Tilden, CEO of Alaska Air Group. “We have faith in this plane, we have confidence in our solid organization with Boeing, and we put stock later on for Alaska Airlines and the amazing open doors ahead as we climb out of this pandemic.”

The plane is presently reemerging administration after being grounded for almost two years following lethal accidents in Indonesia and Ethiopia.
